Hi All, was at a friends wedding feew weeks back and well didn't have the SB800 so used onboard flash. What do you think?

Very nice result, John. I'd never believe it was taken with the in-built flash. Gives some hope to me as I am yet to save for SB-800. What distance did you take it from?

Hi Alex well cant quiet remember, but as it was 70mm i would have to say roughly 10 to maybe 15 feet. But yes there is hope it was a bummer really because i had no ext flash so had to make do and i always shoot RAW mode this helps. But yeh i think i may leave this image as it is i think maybe it looks ok the way it is. I now have the SB800 but yeh havent really tried it out yet.

Well done John - nice looking lady taken with a nice lens

Nice photo Having the aperture wide open at 3.5 certainly helps as that allows more light in to bring in the background a bit more. The onboard flash for the D70 is ace!

Thanks Chris and Piro, it was dark and dull evening but i had some probs later on with red eye even though it was on but so just took a bit longer for pp work with some pics.

That's a pretty good shot for the onboard flash, John. It doesn't look as flat as I'd have expected. Must be that Sigma magic.

I was surprised too how well it came out considering it was my first time loose at a wedding with the camera let alone that nice piece of SIGMA glass and on board flash. I just had her sister here looking at some of the pics as when they looked on there computer the pics didn't look to good but told her hubby he better do some upgrading. Only real problem i found that even though i had red eye reduction turned on it didnt seem to always work as a lot of the pics i had to go and fix them in pp. But well i am just an amature at that stuff and not sure i would like to do it all the time.
I am being over run with pictire orders from the bikes which is good.LOL

Thanks Andrew, wasn't a proper setup or anything was her sisters wedding i was at and was a wet gloomy evening and before i got my SB800, so make do with what you got but after i processed them this pic stood out, and for onboard i tought was great.
