In the hinterland of the Gold Coast up in the McPherson ranges is the Natural Arch, where water has eroded a hole through rock into a cave below.

I went up there on Wednesday and took this pic from inside the cave where the water cascades through the opening into the pool inside the cave.

It looks better at PixSmart in the full size when it is not limited to size of the browser window. :)

Hi trevor, Looks ok to me a bit dark but considering you are in a cave is cool, prolly not a lot you can do with a shot like this unless you could use highlites/shadows to maybe bump it up a bit. But looks good.
Cheers
John

Yes, there is a lot of contrast between the white water and the dark rock. I have PP'd it a bit.
It was 1/8sec at f8, on a tripod.

G'day,

Everyone's different, I really like the contrast of light and dark I think it really suits the image. I'd even be tempted to lower the exposure a tad to save the highlight where the waterfall meets the pond. Hmmm, wonder about merging two different exposures from the one NEF?

This really works for me, I like it. :D

Thanx mudder - it's a tough choice between saving the highlights and losing detail in the shadows. :D
