Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Creepy mic, love it! I think a tighter crop would work better, the bottom of the image is a bit weak IMO. The alien bizzo is anything but though, and it works well for me in B&W! :)

Thanks wendellt, Hmmmm Stylish, I like that :) I assisted the SB 800 held off to the side with a Omni Light which you will find in PS which made the light look more coming from behind or inside the head of the plant.

Thanks robboh, see above for explanation of SB 800 & a bit of Omni Light.

Wait a second, so the light bursting through from behind is done in PS?!!! How on earth did you do that?

And in all seriousness this is a bloody fantastic shot. I love it through and through. Be very proud. Best of any of your work that I've seen, all the elements come together.

There may be a market for this pic with the Quit campaign - anti-smoking messages for those non-Aussies.
It reminds me of an X-Ray of a destroyed lung.
(No disrespect to the photog, mic, who has produced an image from left-field again. mic, imagination is a photographer's most important tool, and I think you have a unique imagination.) :D

Dooda, Thanks matey mate  I'm glad you really like, I thought it was one of my best when I created it last night, here is the original pic.

Omni is a funny little light, sometimes when you use it it appears fake and on top of the subject you put it on, other times it seems to latch onto something behind and gives the appearance that light is coming from behind the subject.

Thank you Marcus, yes I woke up screaming last night, with an image of you in your silks & heels.

Cheers cricketfan, thanks for seeing my imagination.

Cheers Max,

Yes Marcus, Stay tuned for more drug induced, Fungi eaten, Inverted weird stuff

Thanks all for enjoying my little bizzare world.

Mic.
