Fright Nite ( Warning, Kiddies go to bed )

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Image

Now, this is an image of a very dead decomposed fox's head, it has been decomposing now down the bottom of a friends property for a couple of months.
To the top right is the eye socket, I have presented the image in a reverse Gradient Map which made the image come out like an X-Ray, ( sorry Stubbsy )

It shows how the front teeth on these hardened sly animals are so far embedded and a lot of root under the surface of the mouth.

Just shows you, when we are all six feet under ( damn good show that ) our teeth will be around for a while longer.

Sorry if this disturbs anyone, thought it was interesting though, but then thats just me I suppose :( :(

Mic.

The only thing disturbing is the level of your inversion addiction. :D 'Cos that's what it is no matter how you want to phrase it.
Nice shot by the way - makes a rather morbid and potentially offensive image (though not to me, I've seen much worse in the morgue and the emergency department) slightly more abstract and palatable.

Nice pic Mic,

IMHO this subject is perfectly suited to inversion.

If you really want to get the creative juices flowing forget about the pills and switch to the mushrooms instead  8)

"this photographer is a dentist, so we can't show you his face...."

or should it be

"this dentist is a photographer and here is his face...." ??

Interesting inversion Mic

Ahhh.. Michael (or should that be Michelle  ). How can I put this gently?

This really works for me. I think this works BECAUSE of what you've done rather than if it was a straight pic. It's also good to see you've conquered your onanistic impulses and got out to shoot some new pics    PS I did a search to link a definition of onanism for the linguistically challenged and near the top of the list was this pagewhich, while not a definition of the term, makes for an interesting read and gives a clear meaning nonetheless 8)

I'm glad you like my decomposed Fox Head.

Hmmm, interesting read Master Stubbs.
