Lovely shot Kerry. Your outlaws have just got out of bed I guess. I don't know how to say this kindly, but they don't look too good when they've just got up

The lighting on this combined with the tack sharp focus really makes the shot, and the framing with the subject towards the right rounds this out really well.

Great pic Kerry, but I am mystified as to whether it is the father-in-law or mother-in-law

Fozzie: Until I got the Feisol carbon fibre monopod, I used a Manfrotto 682B with a Manfrotto 3232 head. It's an excellent monopod, it's very long and has 3 little legs that can be extended out the bottom, making a very unstable tripod. It's a great pod, but can't beat the Feisol, if you have to carry it all day.

Stubbsy: Dunno that there's any good time to take shots of them. They always look pretty much the same, any time of day...

Chris: This is one of my sister-in-law's likeness, one of the prettier, nicer ones of the bunch. In the future, I'll be more careful to mark them properly.

No, not all the in-laws are monkeys. Some are donkeys and other like critters.....

Yes, I try to use a monopod with the 80-400 whenever I want to have sharp pics and can't fuss with the tripod. VR works great on a monopod.
