OK well here are some of my contributions from yesterday. I haven't finished going through the whole lot. All pics taken with the 80-400VR.

Swamp Harrier (juvenile I think)

Black-Shouldered Kite

Nankeen Kestrel

The first pic was cropped quite a bit. The last one I wish was a bit sharper. Sure was a lot of raptors. :)

Yep, most definately a juv swamp harrier. I was looking at those shots myself lastnight but mine are a bit dark because of the lighting being too high.

Not only are the shots superb but you know the names of the species and that is impressive :D

Great shots, nice and sharp. You certainly know how to handle that lens.

The first 2 are excellent shots, Nicole. The 2nd is my fav, very nice! :D
The last one, I'm guessing that the bird flew through your focal point and DOF, since he was coming directly at you.

Nicole

great shots from what seems like a fun day (weather notwithstanding). I like #1 the best.

Thanks for the comments. :)

Kerry, it may also have been the shutter speed. The SS on the last one was 1/640. I should have bumped up the ISO a bit more. Will just have to go back and try again. :)
