first post - some night shotsHi There, this is my first post
just testing to see if I can successfully post some images I have a few other shots to post for comment also but will leave that til I see how this turns out. Will also wait to see how badly my feelings will get hurt with these ones also. Steve
I messed with the gallery after posting and the second image appears to be missing in action. was basically similar to the third image but shot from wider.
It seems that the pix spot gallery was confused with the spaces I had in the file names and the fact that pix 2 and 3 had the same name except for the last number being different I have always quite liked orange in old building shots. I have an identical shot but with the white balance set to cloudy. This was much cooler but I kinda liked the orange better
avcomp welcome. Good first shots, but too orange for my tastes as well

The 3rd one (tighter crop of the second) is nice, the reflection in the water is cool! White balance can be a bit of a bastard for these shots, almost have to PP with different WBs and merge sometimes, expecially if the scene is lit by lights of different colour temperature. That having been said, I also reckon the first shot is a bit warm, however if it works for you don't worry about it.
thanks for the comments.
Is interesting because I took some city night shots a while ago and liked the cooler ones with white balance set to cloudy better. This raises the question: Assuming no or minimal PP which white balance settings do people prefer for night shots??
thanks for the kind words Nito
Yep, the church is the all saints anglican church on victoria rd and the bridge is the lennox bridge over the parramatta river looking east The bridge shots were taken because I was originally going to shoot the other church (the one that was burned down and rebuilt) but found a bunch of junk stacked in front of it. In disgust I was going home and just happened to see the bridge and decided to take it as a consolation.
