I took this photo ages ago, but it needed a bit of cleaning up in PS...

Just finished it... What do you think?

I like the composition leek. The curved walkway certainly makes you look twice

Is that a dust bunny or a water dragon just above the arch? Also in the arch that is closest to us on the right, did you clone something out there or is it just OOF?

Aren't they the wrong colour?

Interesting shot, John. Beautiful blue sky. Looks like dinosaur bones rather than whale bones, since I've never seen whale bones....

I don't think it's a dust bunny... It's probably just a clumsy clone... There was a piece of string tied to the first arch & I cloned it out... it's shadow is still on the right-hand part of the arch - which is maybe what you were referring to...

Whale ribs...marinate in hoisen sauce and grill over hot coals.

Here's a Before & After comparison that'll show you the work that was done in Photoshop... I'd be really interested to hear your comments on the quality of the post-processing and / or whether I went too far... What could I have done better - or what would you have done in addition???

The main objective was to remove all of the distracting shadows...
I also cleaned up some of the debris / litter that was laying around...
I was very tempted to clone out the railings, but thought that would be going to too much trouble...

p.s. I've just noticed that I forgot to clone out the shadows on the extreme right of the photo... Must try harder next time...

I think the removal of the shadows was entirely appropriate and has given the image a clean, snappy look. The post processing was beautifully carried out and it is obvious you are becoming skilled in Photoshop. I also think you have far to much free time on your hands and it's time you started rubbing down those walls in preparation for a new coat of paint.

good job on the shadows - I would like to see the b/ground blurred - also grab a good sort and lean her against the rail.
