Hi All, well good weather for ducks down here and not so good to be out taking pics, anyhow here are a few out of a few hundred from today's outing at the track.

Thanks Marcus, yes not the best of days but yeh i had fun, even had a newbie D70 user come to the track today so gave him the run down on us here, so i guess i will be hearing from him for some tips and so on.

John - as per normal on your day out the result of your expertise is shown in your great pics.
A question - there has been talk on this forum as to the number of shots taken on a D70. I notice that you often quote anything up to 300 shots on the day - my question is - how many pics has your D70 taken so far

Thanks Kerry and Chris, now chris is there somewhere i can see this other than the numbers on the files as the file #3,427 there abouts. I think i have seen someone mention a proggy that tells you?? But yesw on a day at the track i take lots, i am dreading the day it dies but least i know it would have done a good job.

No Mate i haven't, but i do sell a lot to the riders/parents as such as i upload all my images to my smugmug account and they look at them there and then email me with orders. So i do sell them, helps my addiction to get odds and sodds, my bigest seller is my road racing pics Steve.

I am on a Mac John so I don’t know about those shutter count programs, but from your file ref you are on a low number count anyway.

Yes Chris, well i would not take that for gospel as i think it should be a lot more i think as i would normally take that at a meeting so yeh somehow i think that is wrong.
Anyhow no work today for me so i am dying some muslin cloth to use as a back drop, i was hoping to get a mottled affect but i dont think it worked that well so have dumped it in there to be a solid deep blue. Better that looking at a cold wall behind when i take a pic of the kids and they want too much money for already made backdrops so i thought how hard can it be.
LOL darn site bloody cheaper i can tell you.

Great shots, John. You sure have got photographing motor bikes etc down to a fine art.
BTW, if anyone hasnt asked you before (which they probably have), how do you get the 3D effect in the presentation?

Meicw, i gather you are talking about the border? If so because i am so dumb when it comes to photoshop and i only have actions to make some borders with that proggy, i used to use Paint shop Pro before photoshop so that what i did these in
PSP 9. So just a black border then white then selelcted the black and used srop shadow then a black border around the hole pic. Hope this helps mate. Bigg Dummy when it comes to photoshop, i think i have tried it but found it easier in psp.

This program will do what you want, just open the most recent image and it reads the shutter count out of it. The proggies also does some other stuff, but I just use it for shutter count. Opanda EXIF does it, too, but I've never worked out how

Thanks Peter, i new i had seen someone mention this. Anyhow i know this isn't the very last picture taken but here is the shutter count for this pic i chose which is 1 of the last lot from yesterday.
Here it is 14878 shutter actuations,wow a lot hey.

Thanks Andrew, I enjoy taking them as well, just cant keep away from bikes and yes would love to get loose ata car race oneday, pitty i hate Melbourne i would have to go over and annoy Thai and teach him how to hold a camera straight, or is that teach an old dog a new trick??
