These are just from a trip with a couple friends ...you can see them in a couple pictures. I didn't get to bring a tri-pod on this trip so these aren't near as sharp as they could be. I shot in JPEG fine. Please tell me what you think. All shot with a D70 and 18-70mm kit lens.

Nice shots Midnight, and welcome to the forums with your first post (starting with images is good work).

#2 is very smooth indeed. All have great colour.

Some brief observations.....

- Lens does not have an "e" at the end, I have edited your post accordingly (there was a long thread on this issue some months back )

- I am not a fan of the arbitrary diagonal shot, and I don't think it was necessary in #1 and #3. Both shots would be fine straight.

- well done on the handheld long exposures

#2 is great but not a huge fan of the diagonals.

Really like the 2nd one, is this the Gatlinburg near Pigeon Forge?

Welcome Midnighthour. Shot number 2 is excellent, especially for handheld (against) rock at 8secs.

I have trouble getting the shot that steady on a tripod at 8 secs.

2nd shot looks fine - 3rd shot would be improved with fill flash - tilted camera does not work too often,especially in this instance.

Thanks for the comments guys! I believe #2 is my favorite shot as well. No excuses for the diagonal shots except I thought they'd work. Again, thanks for the criticism.
