So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Nice birdy Simon, i love these birds and see them often while driving around the place but never able to take pics of them, but i think your pics are nice.

The shots look good, but are a little small. It might be an idea to link to a larger version. I'm also surprised you didn't have a fish shot as your first image post Peter

Thanks guys. Now that u mention it the pictures are a tad small . I was too busy playing with photshop trying to frame them.
The middle one is the best focused one, the other 2 are slightly off. I was happy with the bokeh i could get out of the standard lens. The fish pics will come later - my 105mm nikkor macro is on its way from Birdie as I type. My photography skills are developing (and my expectations of the photos I want) so im not overly happy with what I have to date. And there is my big bright shiny new tnak still in process of being setup, so when thatsready im sure there will be a veritable flood of pics .
I thought that these were pix of that very rare fish, the Northern Feathered Rosella Fish.
