Decided to try my luck at the airport earlier today and came up with a few keepers.

Dave, All great shots and the crops are well done as well as framing. So yes they all look good to me, well done.

Nice sharp pictures, i like the one of the Quantas plane the best though, imo the angle and the crop is alot better than the others. :)

Great shots of 3 different aircraft. B717 (which was the last aircraft designed by McDonnell Douglas (MD90) before Boeing took them over), an A320, and B737-800.

Cheers everyone. It was my first time shooting at the airport....and I'll definitely go back for more.

Anyone have any tips on the best places to shoot from ?? I started around near the Observation area on Operations Road (West side of the airport - I think ??), but I didn't think it was a good vantage point. I ended up in the little carpark area on the side of the Freeway to Sunbury (North side of airport ??).

I'm sure there are places around the area that offer better views, I just didn't know where they were.... :-)

Hi Dave,

For some pretty good information head over to http://www.rwy34.com/spotting/

It really depends on what rwys are active as to where the best spots are at the time! Also depends on if you want to get the aircraft landing or taking off!
