You did a pretty good job of hiding that shadow on the breast. Mine is pretty prominent still.

I am having alot of problems trying to strike a balance. If i increase more brightness and contrast, the birds' eyes look better but then the details of the feathers on the body start to disappear.

I think to get that level of eye detail and still retain the feather detail like this is terrific! The eyes really catch my attention, good sharp clear shot...

Hi Arthur
really nice photo....well done.

Not sure if you have already tried this or not, perhaps you can duplicate the layer (in PS), then mask out everything but the eyes and add brightness/contrast to the 2nd layer. This should only affect the eyes and you can brighten them up to suit your preference.
