Some shots I took while taking surfing photos when waves were not going on. Turned out to be the best photos of the outing I think.

Also a couple of skies:

The end of the world is nigh:

I think the stair image has potential, but I can't get the PP right? Maybe it's just when I took the image I thought it would work better and it doesn't?

Comments appreciated.

I like shots of birds, particularly ones in flight.
of the 2 in flight, I like the bird in the first shot much better than the second shot, but I find the light coming off the water to be very distracting.
I find myself searching for the subject.
In the second there is less depth of field and light coming off the water and
I find the bird easily as the subject without the distractions.
Perhaps tone down the water in shot one. Bird in flight 2 perhaps needed some fill flash though.
Just my opinion of course.

I REALLY like the first night shot you've posted. It's very confusing to work out what you're looking @ perspective wise, but very clear about what it is.

The first Birdy is also my fav of the lot. I find a lot of the other shots to be quite distracting due to the 'busy' backgrounds. The contrast of the foreground and background in the first shto makes it 'punchier' to me. Which is why I like it.

Will give that a try BP.

Agreed on the busy backgrounds in the first flight shot, might try tone it down a little.

The first sky shot was actually taken in broad daylight, it's just had shadow contrast increased tons.

Thanks for the comments.

G'day Nick,
Of the bird ones, I like the last three with the strong reflections in the wet sand... But that shot "world is nigh", woah those clouds  Looks like an underwater shot of a wave from underneath, sort of... umm...
