Sit and stayTaken at the Croydon dog training club this morning. I thought the dog had interesting markings, maybe it's a tricolor Border Collie? 1/400s @ f/3.2, 200mm, -1/3EV, ISO 200. A small dark area -- I think it was a tree trunk -- was cloned out of the top LH corner. Slight curves adjustment, a touch of Fred Miranda's Velvia Vision, USM.

Great photo. i don't usually like photos of dogs and cats, but i make an exception for this one. Fantastic use of depth of field, super sharp dog and great contrast of colour between the dog and the green background.
Brilliant.....!!! Steve.

Thanks, Chris, Steve, Meicw & Ben. Croydon's a popular club and there are always lots of dog photo ops during training. The minor difficulty in such a busy place is finding a good vantage point that doesn't get in people's way, while also having minimal background clutter.
