So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Tangled PelicanHi All,
Here's my first posted pic. Found a bunch of pelicans at Narrabeen Lakes. This one tried tying himself in knots... Cow Go Moo
I've recropped it a little to reduce the blurred grass at the bottom. Don't want to go much further othwise it will chop is feet off.
I was lying down on the grass to take the shot.
I don't think the blurred grass is too much of a problem myself, but you could clone it out with the clone tool or the healing brush if you wanted to eliminate it.

Interesting post. Whites are a bit hot though. Reduction of ambient light (underexposing) and using a bit of fill flash might of helped.
I'm still trying to get a great shot of a Pelican. I almost got a nice shot of one in flight but the most sharpest and exposed correctly was when it was going away from me. I think my favorite Pelican shot on this forum has been Xerebus (sp?) who had one on a peir on a pole with a full moon above it Darryl (aka Kipper)
