Guys took these two photos at Coogie last week, with my 80-200 D ED F2.8 at 200mm F8. Cropped them in Photoshop.

Hey Birdy,
Would love to but am occupied this weekend, Say curiosity based on your vast experience is the 70-200 VR sharper at the same settings?

Yes, it's. But the clarity and sharpness of the 80-200ED is the same as the 70-200VR, the only thing difference is the VR feature, giving you more flexibility in handholding w/ slower shutter speed.
