Nice shot Jeff, background contrasts nicely with the subject. Probably correctly displays what you saw. To give the bird a little more punch you could try lightening the shot through software by changing exposue or playing with levels. I would probably crop a little tighter, again through PP as I noticed it was shot at 400mm. When it was alittle tighter you may need to sharpen it a little though doesn't need it now. My opinions, yours may differ, like the shot. Where did you take it?

Thank you Glen.Shot was taken at the Bicentenial Park on the weekend.Normally lots of subjects to take photos off but on the weekend was a bit sparce.

Glen I'm not into wildlife but the ponds and wetlands are usually full of ducks and birds,it is a very interesting and extensive park.

Hi Jeff,
I agree with Glen about the crop. I would also like to see the bird's legs. I like the pose and I find the grass in the background an interesting texture.
