Wade's tree pic reminded me of this series. One of them was of a tree lighted by the cross, but wasnt as good as Wades, so posted these instead.

Cant decide what to do with regards to PP on the 'titanic' shot, so looking for some suggestions (including dont bother if you think that). I do have some ideas, but curious to see what others might suggest.

I actually went past there today and its not there. I think they just put it up at Easter (and maybe Christmas) on a hill called Mt Roskill, which is down Dominion Rd in Auckland.

Wow, you liked me tree hey! :)

I like the first of your two shots....Very nice lighting, and well framed (it DOES look like a battle ground tho! --works for it in my mind).

The 2nd shot, the kid's don't do it for me...

Yeah, liked both the tree and the house shots.

Thanks.

The shot with the kids, I reckon could end up not being too bad, but I think it would take a bit of work. Basically square format to bring the kid in to the same distance from the edge as the cross is from the other edge and then cloning out the fence and the second head.

Unfortunately they were messing around there just as I arrived and that was the only shot I managed to get of them doing 'titanics' and from a bad angle as well. Another one of these situations where it looked more interesting in life than I managed to capture on 'film'.

Ahhh, I see. Thats why it is a cross. But from the foreground looks like a battefield. Anti-amphibian obsticles and barb wire. I think its cool.

Ahhh. Now I get why you were wondering if it was something like a memorial and yes, you are right, it does look like a tank or amphibian blockade, but its actually just a fence style. I couldnt get the shot I wanted OVER the fence, so tried to make use of the fence to get a more interesting foreground. I guess it worked :)

Robboh, like the first a lot. It looks (the cross) like a channel marker, is it near water? The fence looks like a plain fence crossing which keeps out cattle and sheep. Do you still have sheep in NZ Robboh?
