Twisted trees - Hobart. Colour or black and white???

Would appreciate it if you could let me know if you like the B&W or the colour variation for these two shots? Also feedback on the composition technical aspects would be cool too.

B&W images need more contrast to make then more dramatic......then they will bounce.......

I agree with bp once you improve contrast. I also think perhaps some different perspectives to give a stronger focal point.

Ditto BigPix. The colors seem distracting. The first one has nearly the right contrast already IMO, but the second one is a little flat. Interesting subject and images, both of them.
