Thanks for your comments guys.
I wasn't sure which one I prefered. The burnt out highlights in the second one detract for me slightly but I like the 3 drops as opposed to the one in the first.
Loving this still life experimenting. I mean I should be working but.....

The 2nd one works for me too, and I'd also agree with Oneputt on a tighter crop.
Brilliant! One day I will get around to experimenting myself!

Actually these were taken with the kit lens. Never ceases to surprise me - totally competant isnt it.
