I finally got off my arse and uploaded some shots from my Tassie trip for work.
These are all shot with the kit lens.

Hmmm... lots to shoot in Tassie and this is all I could come up with.

It reminds me why I don't shoot landscapes.

I just love my home state going to back soon with the D70 and grab some memories.

yeah keep em coming joolz...... i did the overland track twice ! there's some aewsome spots over there.... so show us your tassie !!!

Errr, I don't have a tassie (or map of) Rob... :wink:

I did the Dove lake circuit going one way & left the same time as 3 guys who were fully kitted out with backpacks, sleeping & other gear going down another track. I was surprised when I ran into them on the Dove lake circuit coming the other way.
I then realised that the path must veer off onto the overland track at some point.

A lovely piece of(f) Australia.

LOL...... when i wrote show your tassie, i meant the tassie when "you" were there..... had to smile though when you mentioned .. map of tassie
that wasnt even meant as "tounge in cheek" stuff but i spose it could have been miss understood... just like me

LOVE the 3rd image there Joolz, VERY impressive. If you can do this with the kit lens I can't WAIT to see what magic you can make with the 17-55

That's your kit lens Wendell.

Shot 3 is a bit blurry - I lugged the damned tripod around the track, but we were in a bit of a rush (had to drive back to work) so I didn't take it out to use it (it was a useful walking stick though

).
Actually, none of these shots were used with a tripod. I really don't have the patience for landscape photography I guess - all that waiting for the right light etc.
