Some beautiful shots there joolz! Bel and I did a campervan holiday around tassie for nearly 2 weeks a few years back and had a blast...I often wish I'd have had my D70 back then..although it's just another great excuse to get back there with the D70! Well done :) Some EXIF data would be excellent. Btw, I like the first shot most!

Love the first image, and I like the second lighthouse better than the first one you posted....very similar but I enjoy the tighter crop.

I have only ever had one very short visit to Tassie and didn't have the trusty D70 then, would love to go back.

Cheers
Deb

Julian shot with your new 17-55DX?

1st shot is awesome, what perspective

the 2nd is very moody but the 3rd on is the best, how did you get that strange lighting on the trunk, itsit natural?

Thanks for the comments.
Lovely scenery in Tassie and the weather was fine considering the time of year and geography.
I was doing some locum work in Latrobe (near Devenport on the north coast). I managed to squeeze in a few short trips around the area to take some shots.
I noticed the lighthouses (at least 2) were painted with different patterned red stripes. I'm not particularly knowledgable regarding maritime matters, but it's either for identification or the tourists. :)

I'm glad you like the shots Wendell... as they were shot with the exact same lens that you now own.
They were all shot with my/your kit lens. :)
The last shot has had a bit of vignetting and curves work in PS.
