That's a beautiful shot Alex. The sharpness and contrast of the leaf against the background is awesome. You have taken a great photograph, one that you should be proud of. The clarity and sharpness is also a great thing about this shot!

Alex - this is truly a lovely shot but I keep asking myself whether or not the green moss(?) should be cloned out

Thanks Chris. Yes, I find that green moss distracting also. Damn it! I should have just moved the leaf a few mm. I'm not sure how easy it will be to clone out. On the other hand it gives the shot its 'candidness' as though the scene was not pre-arranged which it wasn't.
