Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for the comments. It's very hard for me to see when the horizon is straight and when its's not, may be it comes with experience.

Nice colours and looks pretty straight to me. The verticals are pretty much spot on 90 deg...then again my eyes are starting to play tricks on me.

Last one!
I was enjoying your posts so much Alex, the scenery was so much better than the usual eastern states stuff we usually get 8) 8)

Thanks Wayne and Andy.

Wayne: I always agonise about horizontallity (sp?) of my shots, sometimes it drives me mad. I can't tell if it's straight or not. May be I ought to buy a small level meter from bunnings and place it on my D70...

Andy: I must say I enjoyed WA a lot. I was there first in 98 and couldn't remember much. That place has a special place in my heart. Very charming state.

Speaking of freezing, Andrew,

A few mornings it was 0.2-0.8 deg. C while I was over there. Reminded of my days in Russia. There was ice on the windscreen of my car...

Oh!.......Gee Alex, I think we arrange those cold mornings so eastern state visitors feel at home! ... Not as cold as the time I spent in Ballarat, the laziest wind there.... it blew through you, not around you!

By the way, at Xmass time I was in Germany, went to the top of the Zugspitz, minus 12 deg with a 30KPH wind blowing! I lasted 7 mins on the observation platform and 10 mins the second time.... the D70 took it in its stride! :)

Andyt

id say models will work in all kinds of conditions

though ... the weather has been great lately ... brisk mornings, but otherwise great days (well, on the last couple of weekends anyway.)
