This image is about 3 weeks old. It is the road from Oberon to the Jenolan Caves, when it was snowing in that cold snap.

It is taken with a Canon 50mm f1.8 EOS 300D at f3.2, 1/125 @ ISO100.

Does the black and white work in this case?

This is the original image:

Any comments / criticism?

Thanks

The original image looks either overexposed or lacking seriously in saturation. I'd rather see colours in this case.
Cheers,

Tristan - I actually prefer the second one with maybe a touch more contrast through a curves boost - like the photo and 100iso - wow :D

The biggest problem that I have with this photo is that it was captured in JPEG by mistake. :?

I was saving space for the Jenolan Caves :D

I will see if it is possible to squeeze a bit more out of it as far as optimisation is concerned.

i find the image a little too flat, prehaps the detail is loss in jpeg compression or it could be that there was a bit of motion-blur in the trees
