The d50 has had its first real workout ....at a kids birthday party.

Was very happy with its handling and speed, certainly a step up from the 5700 for capturing candid moments.

These are my two favourites from the day.

The second one is a great kid's portrait. Great colour, wb is spot on, great posing and expression on the child's face.

The two diagonals within the image help to perfectly frame the child too.

Excellent work!

Fabulous photos there John, Gary has made some great observations too. Well done and glad you're happy with your D50! Keep on posting.

Jed - what superb photos - the colour saturation is beautiful and, as Gary has said, the composition in #2 is spot on.

Would be interested in what shooting mode you used :?:

I used the Child shooting mode, sirhc55.
