Yet another MVA set of shots... hope i'm not boring too many of you.

QFRS 526a was called out to an MVA on Anzac Ave, Kippa-Ring at approximately 1105 today. One male with injuries taken to the hospital via the QAS.

Comments more than welcome.

Hi Mark, like the two shots with the police car in them. Just an observation, there seems to be no shot which tells the story as such. Not that there has to be, but an all encompassing shot might frame the story with the others highlighting details

you are pretty spot on there.. the mva was a just a standard traffic incident... nothing at the scene really screamed out to me while i was there.... just one of those things i guess... can't win them all.

I'm surprised not to see a L or a P plate on the car.

slowly building up the contacts.... just need to start finding the 'bigger' contacts

if you want to see some of your pictures in the paper start with your local rag.... they will usually accept shots of something newsworthy.

in qld only L plates are mandatory... P plates are a choice which is plain silly if you ask me....

That's the way how to get into the big media corporate.
Mostly the big data base of contact will help you flow thru this channel & industry easy.
The trail brought me in with AP (USA) back in the 80, from the War Correspondences, whom I had known in the war zone, once I was in the military, ferried them to many "hot" AO. I had a Pentax in my Flight Helmet bag all the time and they taught me how to shoot with the camera not the miniguns and rockets.

Mark - I was also surprised not to see a P plate and your explanation of choice in Qld is madness - great pics and I like the way you have obliterated the number plates

Hopefully the government will follow the lead of other states and make P plates mandatory... but that's debate for another thread!

Yeh... I've started 'obliterating' number plates, especially on the pics I have sent to newspapers. I had a call from a mother of a deceased person who noticed the non-obliterated number plate on a motorbike shot in the paper... and have had nothing but problems with the person since. I took for granted that the papers would just blur the plate, but obviously not....
