what to do when you cant take decent bird shots

went down to the local boat ramp to practice some bird shots.
Took a few of some ducks but wasnt game to post them
....what another duck shot??
anyhow I tried some silhouettes and then thought I would try some photoshop mods.
does this sort of thing work for anyone??
