A late Autumn

This tree is usually void of leaves by late May. Not so this year. Taken a couple of weeks ago with the kit lens. I'm not really a big flower/nature photographer but I think the colours are incredible. The images are straight off the camera no work at all (although now I think some sharpening and contrast would help the first one). I'm interested to know which one you prefer?

I like the second one most of all there. I think it could do with a bit of lightening up and a touch of sharpening, but that's an altogether nice shot.

Good job. :)

Yeah the 2nd is the better one, the first looks a little flatter but has good DOF.

Thx Nnnnsic,

I've actually taken the first shot and did what you said (+ cropped and contrast adjustment):

That looks much better, good crop and the colours are more vibrant.

Much much better.

Now the first one is the better of them, and it looks more like what I'd picture Autumn to be.

Ahhh... memories of a few months ago... :(
