Had a nice walk along the river with Michelle today - wondered if you guys could tear these apart for me!
I really struggled with the exposure in the second one, the dark area down the bottom of the image is a little too dark - anyone got any tips?

Nice shots Chris...
As you asked for critique, here's a couple of suggested improvements for next time?
It may be an optical illusion, but I feel that the horizon needs a little bit of straightening in both shots. Both seem to slope off slightly to the left...
On the first one, I would have framed it slightly more to the right including a little bit more of the tree and less of the buildings on the left.
On the second one, it might have been better if you had crouched down a little lower, reducing the impact of the dark patch and including the girl's feet.
Otherwise... Keep shooting...

Good call John - I didn't even realise the horizons weren't completely straight, thank God for the horizon police!
I'm still getting the hang of composing my shots properly, thanks for the tips though!
