Got my extension tubes yesterday so had to have a play.
All shots were using Tamron 70-300 with all 3 extensions (12mm, 20mm 36mm) and an old Hanimex TS 855 Dual Flash.
Kept shutter speed high at 1/1000 and aperture at F22

Thanks Kevin, I think it must be in the early stage of the stamin's life as they seem to go "fluffy" later on.

Great shots Mark - Love the first one...
Did you use a tripod for these?

The second one is fantastic, I like the way the whole frame is taken up by the subject and there's no blank area!

Thanks for the positive feedback folks. I love doing this stuff and experimenting untill you get everything just right.
Leek, yes all were taken on a tripod. I am still concerned about lens movement even on the tripod as it protrudes quite far with the extension tubes on. Really needs some kind of mount on the lens like you see on big telephotos.

Nice shots Mark. My choice is the second one for its simplicity and sheer elegance. I probably would have tried to not crop the flower in the upper right corner - which may or may not have worked. I Like:D
Cheers

Mark, what great macros......I am completely green with envy.
Please keep posting. I have the Tamron lens, but have no experience with extension tubes so I would love to continue to see what you do with them.
Cheers
