I went to the Botannical Garden in Canberra today
and amongst other plants was this beautiful flower.
I forgot to record the name of the plant.
Here it is:
This is geometry and maths alive ...
Cheers,

Hi Christian,
Nice shot, I love colors and form. Maybe bit too centrall ...
How big is the flower? Is it macro shot?

Good work CD, I love the DOF and the composition. Keeping the flowerhead central with the three leaves making a triangle keeps the photo evenly weighted but not symmetrical.

I did a smart sharpen in Photoshop CS2,

I love that line about maths and geometry alive.
and then the flower dies, becomes compost, nutrient, and then another flower perhaps, or grass for a cow, and then it may even become you, or me.

As a flower lover with the memory of a pencil, I love this pic with no name

Really like the original, the colour is amazing, I'm trying to photograph my Father in law's award winning orchids, they are hard to get focussed correctly but the colours again are superb, Max
