captured my wife as she exited the crypt of St Peter's Basilica, after seeing the grave of Pope John Paul II. Visiting the pope was definately one of the highlights of my Euro-trip.

Neat and in the middle.

Well done; the lighting perfectly focuses one's attention on the person.

There a few terms or notions in photography that annoy me more than the rule of thirds. (Although I have to say that this diagonal out of the corner stuff is fast earning a place in the snappers' hall of shame also.)

I recall as a high school student the Kodak rep calling by and giving us a slide show about photography. The importance of a primary colour in the foreground, the life infused in a flower with a spray of spittle, the list went on. He projected schematics and grids explaing the rule of thirds and it sort of made sense with the SELL that he gave to a bunch of 13 year olds. Within a moment with a camera in my hand on the next weekend I realised it was bunkum. True at times but certainly nothing to crochet into my pillow slip as a rule to sleep on.

Your work is wonderful and that is due in no small way to your eye for design and balance. Add colour and your work sings, and for that I thank you.

Looks ok to me DEE, it's differant. Looks blown but suits the picture and well framed.

I was going to criticise the blown-out light at the end of the tunnel, but when i had a second and third look at the photo i decided that it enhances the image, rather than detracts from it. i see the bright light being indicative of the 'end of the tunnel' and enhancing the silouhette of your wife.
