Great sequence of shots Xerebus. Love the last one - it tells a story on its own.
What lens and what sort of lighting did you use? Imagine it would be something like the 50mm with the SB800 to get that last one.
I love the top down look - I find it really opens up the face. One of the advantages of shooting kids is often you don't need anything except standing up to get that sort of shot.

I like it Mark...

It's a portrait with a built-in story...
Not sure about the title though - I was expecting something very different...

My only suggestion for improvement would be to slightly zoom & crop the second one to make the size of his head more consistent between the 3 panels of the triptych...

Mark

I'm on record elsewhere as not being a big fan of kiddie pics, but I have to say the last of the three is superb. You've nailed the shot at just the right moment where your son(?) has such a superb expression that speaks volumes.

Good shots all, Mark, but I like the first one the best. Wish you'd gotten all of the lovely lady's face in it though. It's a terrific candid. :)

thankyou everyone for the comments... much appreciated as usual....

joolz - thanks.... used the 70-200 VR and the SB800 bounced off the ceiling...

leek - never noticed that with the centre frame and the size comparison.. but now it stands out clear as day! thanks... :)

stubbsy - yes.. my youngest son.... and a very lucky moment to capture :)

sirhc55 - very nice chocolate ;)

KerryPierce - thanks for the comments... much appreciated. A very lucky candid....

ozimax - exactly!! :)

gecko - not sure if it's a comeback or not... we hadn't had fondue (sp?) for a long time and decided we'd bring it out and let some kids have some fun with fruit and chocolate... :)

Ahh, explains the lovely bokeh. How did you manage to shoot that indoors to get that last image from above? I struggle with my 80-200 indoors. I guess the 70-200VR has a closer minimum focal length.
