Preening

This pelican was sitting on a light post on the Hervey Bay jetty, so I was able to stand pretty much underneath him while he preened. He had such beautiful snowy white plumage, I couldn't resist - especially when the sun was reflecting off his bill.
Hope you like

That's a beautiful photograph blacknstormy! Nice composition and colour to die for. The light is working with you, the bird is working with you and you made the camera work with you. Georgeous image!

Great shot stormy. As many have, I imagine, I have tried my hand at a pelican shot, and I know that it isn't easy to get one that really stands out. Yours does.

Wow - this is an amazing shot.
The plumage is so clear and detailed - makes me want to reach out and touch it.

Cheers,
PS What's with your signature....not great but getting better??? Are you kidding???
