Superb and interesting first post. All well composed my favourite would have to be the low level shot of the boot and troops - well done.
It also shows the excellence of the D50

All of them are interesting. Some unique perspectives offered here. I have never considered the use of mirrors, but they work very well in your photos.
Thanks for sharing - I enjoyed them all.

Some amazing images and certainly a place I want to visit one day. Like Chris, the low shot with the boot on the right was the one that jumped out at me.

Very nice Jaco.
Like your use of the mirror, were you carrying it just for the shots or to look over your shoulder? Or some other reason?

Number 30 is good. Really interesting architecture, unusual. A bit shame that roof tops are cut. I don't think this contributes to composition. Number 45 also is good, however I dont like version with focus switched on behind building. Its is too difficult to watch it.
That is an interesting series, but in my humble opinion I could try to chop number of photos down. Great shots disappear in crowd of not bad ones.
Pozdrawiam,
K.Polak

Really like the first set of photos. They show a very different perspective to the typical tourist shots. A thought I always try and remember when holding a camera....Look for different....walk around it, reframe it....You're creativity is inspiring. Some of your followup photos drop the standard set in the earlier photos IMO.

Hi Jaco,
If you click
here first message will be your own without saying that photos are from St.Peterburg, Peterhoff etc. Very first one is the statue of the King Peter I (the Great) also known as "Copper Horseman" or "Copper Rider"

Wow Jaco, very cool!
You get around a lot! I would love to see some of your pictures from Poland. I'll have a look at your site and see if I can find some.
Plus, you've quite inspired me that good things are possible without the fancy vr lenses!
