Nice looking car! Is it yours?

I prefer the second image as I find the first shot has the car blending in too much with the dark background. The tighter second shot contrasts well with the stoney drive.

What a HOT machine!! Love the second shot also. Just curious cause I'm still learning, but why did you use a high iso? Can you explain your settings?

Wow... what a hot looking car. Awesome.

I especially like how you have managed to avoid photographing yourself in that glossy duco too. Well done :)

I agree that the tighter crop is excellent, but the other image is good to give a perspective of the whole car.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. :D

The car belongs to my neighbor.

Jase: I used the higher ISO settings because the lighting was very erratic. It was a partly cloudy day, so the shot would be in full sunshine for a few minutes and then in full shade for a while. I didn't have the luxury of waiting only for the sunshine shots. :(

I finally ended up using the sb800 to help even out the exposures.

Steve: Avoiding the self-portrait was quite a challenge and I wasn't able to do it in all of the various shots. Mostly, I tried to stay in shady areas or at an angle to the car which reduced or eliminated the problem. For those shots where I couldn't avoid it, the clone tool was my friend. 8)
