This is a subject I've never really photographed before so all critiques and feedback is welcome.

After looking over the images I just feel I'm missing something. I've seen some great flower images posted on this forum. Images with some 'zap' or 'mood' in them, so tips from these flower gurus are very welcome

The first 2 are fine images. The next 2 seem to be a bit weaker. I think with flowers you need to show the whole of the bloom, unless something special is happening.

I am not an expert in flowers (florist?;-), but:

1. With that I would prefer more close up and tighter composition. Propably white part could fill bottom of the frame leaving top in similar fasion.

2. Great. Maybe, but realy just maybe pattern of grean leaves behind could fill the frame more, especially on the right

3. No, not really. Something doesnt work here.

4. No 1. A bit confusing at first sight, but nicelly puts attension to complex petals pattern.

#1 I like. I don't even mind the focal point being at the one thirds - which I'd usually object to. Chromatic abberation suggests it's either not taken with a macro lens and more likely a 70-300 of some flavour. It's a beautiful delicate flower, and well captured, but the CA spoils it for me.
#2 could do with a bit more contrast - it's somewhat flat looking.
#3 cropped too tight for my liking. Main focal point - is it supposed to be the petal(s) or the bulb?
#4 The fuzzies around the center aint in focus as I would have expected, it's a little strange IMO to have the sharpest point being the rearmost petals up against the bokeh.
