Thanks Birddog i downloaded Rawshooter today to give it a go these shot were coverted from NEF to Jpeg's, it's not a bad program very quick to load

Great shots Kevin i like the reflection in the last picture and yes these are nice birds. Ok now i am on the hunt i used to have that action for those borders you have used and lost them in a format can you help with the name of that action so i can find and dwnload again.

I always have trouble trying to expose these guys well, you've done terrific and love the composition of the last one...

Great shots, I take it you used your 200 macro for these?
I particularly like shot three, something in there is cheeky:-) I can just see the pelican thinking "this is my best side"
The last reflection shot is also great. Did you do any sharpening in post or are they as is from the camera?

Hi Vrboy yes all shots with the 200mm Macro i have a action that i use it's + 5 SAT - smart sharp at max size 150/0.2/ Lens Blur then resize down to 810x600 USM 10/20/0 then frame most of the time this works ok

I have to say the Nikkor micro 200/f4 lens is not only to use for macro and it's useful as the tele as well, its built and optical is superb.
Once again, it's in the hand of the right photog, it'll produce more stunning images as ever.

To me, these shots are both well sharpened and from a sharp lens.

Really great pics, I like them all :D
