I was at a gig last weekend at the Harp in Tempe watching two groups... The Arseclowns and The Model School... and here are some of my images from them.

The Arseclowns had two special guest stars during their performance... my Mum and Elvis!

I like the B&W - it works well on some of these images witht he contrasting of the dark BG and the white faces of the musicians. The slight motion blurring in some of the shots is also quite nice. BTW - Elvis is dead.

Great photos. I love your style Leigh. The B&W conversion gives it a 60's Rolling Stone look. (Not that i remember the 60's.) :)

Oh and that's definately not the real Elvis unless he's been on a diet. He's got the moves though by the look of the pics. I really like the one where he is virtually holding out his hand towards you. Great portrait.

I am still laughing at the name 'Arseclowns'. I suppose it's better than 'Arsebandits.' Judging by the hats, I am guessing they are a country music band?

The name of their band is more like "Los Payasos Del Asno" but in English, they're The Arseclowns. :)

In focus, indentifiable images from cubicle 42 - the chick has broken the shell an emerged into the big wide world with some beautiful shots - well done  8)

Leigh. A great bunch of shots from what would have been quite a difficult shooting environmen - and the monochrome is the perfect treatment. Who said all those lessons hadn't paid off? Is that your mum in #2 - the beard looks familiar

I'm really impressed with these Leigh. Still trying to acheive anywhere near this clarity in low light.
You really nailed the gritty atmosphere.
