Fish weren't biting this arvo (gotta love public holidays :D ) so went after some birds instead.

All the birds were shot with Tamron 70-300 @ 300mm ISO 800 1/1000s @ f/6

I can feel an 80-400VR coming on

Both of these ones are very nice Mark Do you just crop from a full imageTo get the panorama? - I prefer #1

I am a sucker for any bird with long legs. Love your framing too.

Nice photos, Mark. Are they panos or crops in pano style?

Great shots... I have to agree with the bird with long legs comment too.

#1 Would be my favourite of the wo.

Thanks Guys.

They are crops in pano style. The way the birds seem to spread out they all appear in a line so there is a lot of nothing top and bottom of frame. I thought it made a more interesting composition taking out all the boring stuff.

They would be approximately 1/4 of the full original, nice on a monitor but would probably not stand up to a reasonable enlargement.

....... nice pix's....... if you shoot in RAW there is a good chance your images will blow up to 30inchs wide, I have done this with the odd shot that I have taken, as a tighter crop made a better image......
