this was shot in the moment at a vineyard in gold coast hinterland, I was actually there on assignment doing a vr shoot and noticed the shot right on sunset

The second one is another from the hunter valley gardens a live orchestra was playing in the afternoon

Bring out the flowers a bit more as they are completely lost from the sun flare on the right and clone out that flare. The idea is definitely there but needs a bit more refinement to get it just right :)

THe violin pic is awesome as is :D

I like it a lot, vrboy. I agree with Piro, the flowers are a bit too dark though. Flare is distracting, but not sure whether it can be cloned out easily. I'm currently dealing with a couple of lens-flare spoilt shots too without much success.

I really like the composition in #1 VRboy but the flare is distracting (as previously stated). Were you using a lense hood?

Keep up the good work. :)

#2 is very impressive...

I like #1 as it is, but I agree with the previous and it could probably be enhanced by a little PP.

I quite like the flare on the RHS, but boosting the exposure and saturation of the LHS of the photo would improve it... Easily done if you shot in RAW...

I'm going to disagree and say that I like photo number one just the way it is. The subtleness of the flowers is saying that they're there, but check out the sunset out the window!

I really like it.

I am with owen on this picture, #1.

I like the way the scene framed in the window is clear and leaves no doubt to what it is but at the same time I have to realy look into the scene within the room, and it leaves me wondering avout what else may be there apart from the flowers.

The sunset and flair only add to the moment of capture.

2 fine phots.

Rick

thanks everyone

thanks everyone for the comments, I did play with the levels and cloned out the flare, but I agree with owen and rick , I particularly like the rawness of the rose/sun shot as there is mystery there and just a hint of revelation on the roses, I think sometimes things can be too perfect and a little rawness doesnt go astray.
here is the altered version I did and everyone can make up their own mind
Image
I still like the original better, after comparing them I actually think the flare ties the roses to the sunrays streaming through the window, in the doctored version they are too isolated

.......when printing very soft tones,I have found that the soft tones, re the flowers in your first post, would go quite flat and be lost in comparison to the rest of the image.....while your second post of the same image has a better chance.....but I would like something in between the 2......for a print.....

Try a selected feather region on the flowers to bring it out a bit instead of bringing the whole image out.
