....magic wand and extract tool used along with an alfa channel, also with some blur on the alfa channel.....

had to crop the bottom of the flower as I forgot to leave in the stork......
I am blaming it on the Stella......':P'

.....sorry the Stella is kicking in......forgot to add that I also added a curve to the background and a gradient to make the plain blue sky, top to botton, go dark to light......I think this helps......yes the Stella....

Nice, and great detail on the petals.

I'd have preferred this in a portrait orientation, though; that's what the image seems to be calling for to me.

Reminds me of "The day of the Triffids" :D
Gorgeous yellows in the middle, I would like to see the sky a bit more saturated to see the difference if possiable.
Can you also decrease the size of the 35mm border tractor holes?

.....after the Stella Mmmmm......

.....Gary tried the Portrait, and you get 1/3 flower 2/3/sky not really a good look.......

.....Paul, the 35mm frame is what it would be if you enlarged it on your scanner, i.e.: all in correct proportion......

.....Also forgot to add that the post processing was done on a 12inch powermac using PSCS2.......and here is the original if you missed my other post.....

WOW!

I just finished installed PSCS2, and I can say I'm inspired by seeing what you've done. Can I ask how long you have spent on PP to make this amazing transformation occur.

Great stuff!

...... the above took about 20-30 minutes but I was following a tutorial in Russell Brown's book, it comes with a c.d. of videos and I can say it is one of the best tutorials that I have, I have done this again with 2 other images and it took about 15 minutes, when you have time have a look at this site, there is something there for everyone.......

Thanks! I don't think I'm quiet ready for that sort of PS work, but I'll bookmark that site for later reference (out of interest, have you posted your other PS shots ?).
