Fun with IR ...

I have to say that next to the d70 itself, My R72 Hoya filter is one of my best buys ...

Unfortunately the image was a little under exposed, so its a bit noisy ... white balance was measured off a patch of grass with the filter on, So the only PP was to brighten the image.

I really like this. The angle you've captured and the contrast of the sky against the colour of the Mini is very alluring. Might have to add one of those filters to my already big shopping list :lol:

heh, yeah it was top of my list, I will be looking at some grad ND filters next I think.

Just make sure you pack a tripod when you want to use your IR filter, even if there is enough light to shoot hand held, you cant see a thing with the filter on the cam!

No PP to alter the colours, I used a pre set white balance which I metered off a well lit patch of grass one day ... I liked the look of it so I have kept it as the "pre" WB option in my cam for use with the filter ever since!
