The answers, my friend....... are blowing in the wind.
Came across this lonely gum tree right on the edge of ocean... Not sure exactly what it is, but the b&w really works for me in this shot.... Comments and critique more than welcome. cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
Hi Xerubus,
I find the tree a bit too dark, if you can put a bit of detail back into it, I think it may work better, IMHO Very different then your PJ work Cheers, Radar. the processed shot with detail doesn't really do it for me.... I'm a fan of the ghostly dark shot Very different from the recent stuff I've been doing... but nice to take a little break and find some happiness cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
I like it, but then Im a bit of a fan of really contrasty B&W.
Possibly might have gotten a little lower so there was some gaps between the pines in the background and the lower branches of the main subject. Smile; it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
Mark,
What Robboh said. A nice capture, but a slightly lower angle to separate the tree from the background would make quite a difference, I think. g.
