BBJ. I like these PP's and the original of the first pic would have stood by itself without the PP as well. These would look great in any magazine. How did you do the background blur in the 2nd one?? A radial blur??

Hi Robboh and thanks, Yes i got bored and had a play. The #2 is right i did use radial blurr on this shot gave it a bit of ooompf!! But sellected as i didn't want all the back of the car blurred. I was happy they way they turned out as it was a car from the local hoons i call it but have started up a club called Revolution Auto's.

Love the first picture, the second one is also great but im not a fan of rear of car shots.

I do alot of this kind of photography for my car club so im always on the look out for new and interesting ideas, and i like the PP work done in the second picture so much so that i might give it a go myself, even though im useless at Photoshop!

Nice, sharp and clean images, but a couple of thing to watch out for if you are going to be doing more of this work. Tell them to wind up the windows, ditch the air freshner and use some tyre shine, it makes a big difference to the final result IMO.

Thanks Jamie, i am not a photoshop person really but well just now and then i get bored and will open to play with and this is the result. Just was up at the lakes oneday and was walking past and yeh took a couple of shots and decided to play with them and yeh these are it. it is hard to make some cars look good i think.

Sexy angle on the first image, did you use a wide angle lens?

for the 2nd one you could of achieved the zoom affect by using a tripod, setting the exposure for 2 seconds
then pull the zoom on the lens quickly for 1 second while the shutter is released, that way you would get a more natural zoom effect

Apart from that good work!

Thanks Wendell, will have to try that oneday. The pics i used the kit lens as i dont have anything that goes below 70m. But yeh will try that if i ever use my tripod it is in the car but yeh very rarely use it unless i try nite shots.
Thanks

Nice job Johnny! Photoshop is a handy tool to try out different effects and I like what you did to the second shot. Actually, the kit lens at 18mm can be very effective partically on shots like the first.
Have you tried doing the same to the front of a bike?
Keep up the great work. Marvilous things can sometimes come out of boredom as you've displayed here. :D

Thanks Matt, came up ok even though i had to clone a body out on the other side of the car in the first pic but made car look better than the normal car parked in a car park.
Thanks

I like the first pic a lot :) Tho not sure about the subject matter ;) The composition and angle is very reminiscent of the photos you see in Hot 4s and other mod mags.

Rob, the kit lens is pretty powerful :)

Piro, to me it was just some car with body kit i spose, i dont look at them magazines or anything and was just another sort of plane car shot so the rest of the pp work jazzes it up a bit as to not be another boring car shot.
i have lots of old car shots i took a long time ago and to me they are very plane as to say and well old cars speak for themselves. Cars are cars to me as long as it gets me from A to B. I do like some done up but yeh i 'll stick to my old VP commodore. LOL

BBJ, I agree it's just a Mirage with a bodykit ;) I prefer cars with style and character (in stock mode)...a bodykit on a normal car != style (IMHO) ;)
