Whoopee, finally got an extra bit of reach! Finally managed to add to the kit lens today with a gorgeous 70-210mm. I have read tonnes on this lens but nothing prepared me for the sharpness it delivered
I am the first to say that gear doesn't make you a better photographer... however this lens gave me immediate results straight out of the box. For those wanting to add to the kit lens and looking at the 70-300mm might I suggest you find someone willing to part with an old friend and get yourself one of these. A true bargain!!!!!! Critique most welcome. Ed.
Ed, it is working for you straight away! Great lens, have it myself, light and sharp consumer lens, wish they were all like that today

I heard stories about it being a bit unsaturated on the colour, but was enormously surprised about what came out of the camera.
