Took my d70 for an outing to Melbourne for the weekend. Got a couple shots of the big kitty drinking at the zoo.

Got a few more taken at the zoo and aquarium but haven't really looked thru them yet.

Comments welcome please.

Well done John. Both are very sharp and well composed. I like them.

Great shots there jd,

The reflection adds a bit to the last one too. Is that the Bengal Tiger ?

The 2nd shot is a terrific composition, John. The reflection sets it on another level. Well seen and captured! :D

Alex and Rob, thanks for the comments.

Mic, Bob and Kerry, thanks for the comments as well and yes, I agree the reflections add to the pic. I got a heap more with and without relections, but I prefer the ones with the reflections.

Mic, this was taken near the section of the zoo where the elephants and other Asian exhibits are, so my guess is that it's a Bengal Tiger. Too interested in getting the shots to really take notice of what the signs said. I guess I should have taken a shot of the sign. Film is cheap after all.
