Where are Australia's Batsmen?

Hi,

thought it would get your interest :). Instead of yet another Stockton beach Subject line, I thought I would name it a bit different.

This one tells the story of the Ashes. Their best batsmen are actually locked up in Tin City

In the middle of nowhere

They tried sending out messages

They tried running away

But, never with much luck

Click on #1-4-5 for a larger image. The top 4 were taken with 50mm/1.4 and the last one with kit lens, 18-70mm

Hope you enjoy them, comments always welcomed,

Cheers,

(maybe I should stick to ice hockey stories ;) )

Radar,

#3 has a big two thumbs up mate! Excellent shot. Perhaps could do with a little more contrast? Nice shots

#3 is excellent. Message in a bottle? :)

Hmmm....which kind of could make a good setup scene. Clear bottle (maybe weathered), caligraphied note, low level o camera angle on a beach, make sure the glass is well secured in the sand, with the water coming up close to the bottle. Maybe use a variety of lense (wide angle could be good), dusk lighting, palm trees and have a slow shutter speed to capture the silky effect of the ocean.

Tah Radar for the idea

I liked the bottle one the best too. I took a few on the day, some with bottle oof, increase/decrease dof, ... Will play with a few others.

Cheers,

Radar

Andre

Love #2 and #3 - the last one looks a little dark.

In the bottle one, maybe next time get back a little from the bottle as the tight perspective in this shot makes the bottle seem enormous. That said - I wish I'd have thought of doing a shot as cool as this

I like them all. I like the last one in that it looks a bit like an oil painting. Well done and thanks for the ideas.
